MASS EFFECT
What can i say about this Beautiful and Cinematic masterpiece that hasn't already been said? To me this video game describes why I love video games. It has a compelling story, intense action and amazing Characters. Well let me start with the story.
Story: The story is amazing, simply put. It fallows Commander Shepard and his crew to find Saren, an elite rogue, who is after releasing a species of deadly aliens. The story has MANY twists and turns along the way and your choices deeply effect what happens. The dialogue, which you control ever action and word that Shepard does or says, is quick, fast, and intense. Every choice is yours which can range from love interest, who lives or dies, to about everything. When thinking of Mass Effect I think of Star Wars and other Sci-Fi movies from the 70's and 80's, actually every time you die it has a nod to Terminator. The story is wonderfully crafted and a huge epic. I also love the fact that the story is yours, you can be a good guy, bad guy, or just be in the middle. You can get a different ending based on your choices and even on how high of a level your Charisma or Intimidation is(Which makes a large difference in this game at times) . The story is so deep, I just cant explain in words, If you love a story driven game then get off your ass and play this game if you haven't.

Gameplay: The gameplay is fun and somewhat innovative. The class your set up with is the Soldier which a weapon heavy class. You have a large varieties of Snipers, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Pistols, and the loads of attachments to those. You also have 2 other people with you at all times where you can command them and they are actually useful for once. Also you do not have ammo but your guns do overheat. Another thing worth mentioning is the special moves you have such as Adrenaline, which speed everything up for you, Unity, which revives your whole team, and so on. You have a basic ranking system where you get points when you level up to upgrade your character. In the end, while it might not be special, is good, other than a few glitches, and does what its supposed to, so i cant complain.

Graphics: Other than the awful frame-rate issue the game is beautiful and vivid. Unfortunately the frame-rate is a hue issue during battles for the game is so epic. This game is beautiful when its normal and during cut scenes where is suffers no frame-rate issue.

Sound: When it comes to sound in this game its perfect. The voice work is top-notch and phenomenal! I cannot say more about the sound, the music really helps in the setting and the epic feeling of this game. I have not seen such amazing voice work in a video game and it is perfect.

Lasting Appeal: This is an RPG where the story mode is not too lengthy but the side quests leave it longer and there is always something to do, even after you beat the main story. The game is also full of exploration and side quests to do. This game is sure to be talked and played for years to come.

Overall: This game is wonderful in every way but unfortunately there are few, if not many technical issues. But thankfully the technically issues did not mess up my complete experience of Mass Effect and did not take away how amazing the game is to me and how much i love it. If small glitches bother you then thats unfortunate that you will miss this amazing experience called Mass Effect. This is my favorite game for now, which will only be beaten by its predecessor Mass Effect 2, which i will be getting it on Midnight Release this monday. Mass Effect 2 is highly anticipated for me and there is a reason for tat since the original was so amazing. There is so much more to be said about the game but it does not matter for you need to get off your ass if you own a qualifying computer or Xbox 360 and have not played this game, for your missing the best video game experience of the decade.
OVERALL RATING: 9.8/10 (For people wondering, I did not give it a 10 for it DOES have technical issues and a point it DID bother me, but i still love the game to death.)
